Description
This piece looks back to how the Gold Rush town Grass Valley, CA would have looked around the turn of the 19th century. As the moon rises over Main Street, the shopkeepers finish their last items of business and close up for the night. On the left we see the Holbrooke Hotel with its lights on for any late-night guests. The hotel is still open for business today, though its clientele probably includes fewer prospectors.
